Through user interviews, extensive prototyping, and testing, we could ensure that the product fills both the needs of users and a gap in the market. 

ENRX aimed to provide a new air-cooled, smaller, lighter, and more effective product than existing solutions. The goal was to have the new air-cooled unit set a new standard regarding size, efficiency, ease of use, and transportability. An essential part of this was the ECU (external control unit) and its dual-cable management. To achieve all this, together with user-friendliness and premium look and feel, within the limits of small-scale production, they turned to EGGS for help.

Setting a new market standard for induction heat generators

Ventac features integrated handles that enable good grip and allow for the use of protective gloves while lifting. The side panels are easily attached and removable for inspection. The design is scalable and adapts to both 25 kW and 50 kW.

To ensure we were solving the right problems, we mapped the whole 

 of the product and the users, highlighting where today's solutions needed improvements and gaining insights into how the new product should be designed. The result is a lightweight, user-friendly, air-cooled induction heat generator, including a handheld external control unit (ECU) and a custom-made trolley.

User Journey

 is a market-driven development project resulting from a thorough design process with user experience and ease of production in mind. The handheld control unit and the generator represent a new level of user-friendliness while being transportable, robust, serviceable, and easy to assemble in production.

Design driven by market and user needs

The ECU has a waterproof and durable shock-resistant design while still being easy to disassemble for maintenance or recycling with easily separable materials. The integrated magnets on the ECU back cover allow for easy attachment of the ECU to a suitable surface close to the workpiece. The original dual cables between the ECU and the generator unit have been replaced with a single cable and connector that improves the user experience significantly. 

Ventac’s lightweight design makes it easy to transport to new work sites and around the workshop or factory on a robust trolley with room for cables. No lift is needed – good for staff health and workplace logistics.

Ventac is designed with the users in mind, significantly improving the work experience during the unit's setup, use, process control, and handling. Transportation is easier and less energy-consuming as Ventac's weight is only 1/3 compared to direct competitors’ and water-cooled alternatives. Comparison with previous products indicates up to 50 % faster operations.
