The EU’s new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (

) requires companies to report on both sustainability and financial performance. Fjord1 lacked a reporting framework and sought assistance in developing a template structure for its reports. The company also needed support in setting up and organizing the content.

Sopra Steria’s designers developed a completely new template framework for Fjord1. This framework was used to produce both the sustainability report and the annual report, and it can continue to be used by Fjord1 for many years to come.

To highlight key metrics and performance indicators, Sopra Steria EGGS also developed infographics and illustrations. The visual identity was designed in line with Fjord1’s brand guidelines and drew inspiration from the working environment both on board at the ferries and within shore-based operations.

The result was a well-structured and highly readable report with a modern design that clearly reflects Fjord1’s business, identity, and brand profile.

The new template framework is designed for long-term use, ensuring consistently high-quality results year after year.

The framework can now be maintained internally by Fjord1’s own designers, reducing both resource requirements and costs.
